How to setup external calendar syncs like AirBnB, Vrbo, Hipcamp and Booking.com

You can sync a Park site’s availability with third-party booking platforms such as AirBnB and Hipcamp using a 2-way iCal calendar connection.

You can sync a Park site’s availability with third-party booking platforms using a 2-way iCal calendar connection. This helps prevent double bookings by blocking dates in Park when they are booked on another platform, and blocking dates on the third-party platform when they are booked in Park.

This article covers how to sync Park with any platform, including specific instructions for:

  • Airbnb
  • Hipcamp
  • Booking.com
  • VRBO

Each platform has slightly different steps, but the overall process is the same:

  1. Export the calendar URL from the third-party platform.
  1. Paste that calendar URL into Park.
  1. Copy the Park Calendar URL.
  1. Import the Park Calendar URL back into the third-party platform.

Before You Begin

Make sure you are syncing the correct Park site with the correct listing on the third-party platform. Each site/listing should have its own calendar connection.

You will need access to both:

  • Your Park admin account
  • The third-party booking platform account for the listing you want to sync

Step 1:Add the Third-Party Calendar URL in Park

Start by copying the calendar export URL from Airbnb, Hipcamp, Booking.com, or Vrbo.

  1. Click Export calendar.
  1. Copy the Airbnb calendar link.
  1. Exit the export calendar window.

You will paste this Airbnb Calendar URL into Park in the next step.

  1. Name the calendar. We recommend using a clear name, such as “Park” or the name of the platform you are syncing with.

You will paste this Hipcamp Calendar URL into Park in the next step.

⚠️

Important: Park is not a channel manager

Park’s calendar sync is designed to help share availability between Park and each connected booking platform, such as Airbnb, Hipcamp, Vrbo, or Booking.com. However, Park is not a full channel manager.

This means that when you connect Airbnb and Hipcamp to the same Park site, Park will sync availability between:

Airbnb ↔ Park

Hipcamp ↔ Park

However, Park does not directly sync Airbnb and Hipcamp with each other. Calendars also need to be paired directly between these third-party platforms to prevent double bookings.

Confirming the Calendar Sync

After both calendars have been connected, allow time for the sync to run.

Park’s calendar sync runs regularly, but third-party platforms may refresh imported calendars on their own schedule. We recommend waiting at least 5–10 minutes after the initial setup, then refreshing both Park and the third-party platform to confirm the connection is working.

Once the sync is working correctly, you should see:

  • Dates booked or blocked in Park appear as unavailable on the third-party platform.
  • Dates booked or blocked on the third-party platform appear as blockers in Park.
